How to Use Key Safes

You have heard about many ways to protect your office and home from burglars with the help of padlock or Yale locks but you should remember that it’s equally important to guard your keys as well. It’s always a better idea to contain an extra key anywhere outside your home just for fear that you or someone of your family may lock them outside. Though, leaving key outside your home also creates help in robberies if somebody gets the key. So it’s important to have key safes which are lockable devices that embrace your keys. A password combination is needed to open its compartment which holds the keys.

Here are some steps on how to use them:

  • Step 1: Twist the dials of key safes to crackdown the combination. The dial lock works in the same way as dial lock of suitcase, briefcase or bike works.
  • Step 2: Turn the first dial till the first number of the combination emerges. Make sure that the number is completely displayed because if any part is covered, the lock may possibly not index it and compartment may not unlock.
  • Step 3: Does this process again with the residue of spin dials in lock and make sure that all the numbers are completely exposed.
  • Step 4: Open the compartment which embraces the keys. If compartment doesn’t open, you may have entered the combination incorrectly.
  • Step 5: Use key and return to the key safes. Lock compartment and spin dials to clear lock combination and also lock safe back up.
