4 Natural Skin Care Tips

The first thing we notice about any human being is their face. Maintaining clean, healthy skin is absolutely essential for self-esteem, confidence and a good attitude about life. Having healthy skin doesn’t mean you have to spend hundreds of dollars on skin care products and make-up. It’s about having a healthy lifestyle and upholding disciplined cleansing habits that will make flawless skin possible.

Healthy Diet. By avoiding greasy, fatty foods that will make your face break out, your skin will be less oily and more resistant to blemishes. Some foods that cause your skin to break our include pizza, French fries, chocolate and most other types of candy, fast food and soft drinks. You don’t have to give up these special treats completely, just eat them in moderation.

Hydration and Exercise. Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water a day – along with regular exercise like walking, jogging, bicycling or getting involved in sports – will make a tremendous impact on the way your skin looks and feels. Exercise will increase blood flow, making your dull skin glow like new. It will also make your feel more energized and generally happier. Keeping your body in shape allows for less stress and a feeling of achievement.

Sun Exposure. Protect yourself from sun damage, skin cancer and premature wrinkles by using a moderate strength sunscreen. Too much sun can blister your lips, leaving them red and sore. Sunburned skin can peel, leaving your skin patchy and sensitive. Monitor how much time you spend in the sun and use good judgment when deciding if you’ve had enough for the day.

Regular Cleaning Routine. Cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize – this daily routine should carry you on your way toward healthier skin in no time. Choose a gentle cleansing solution that works for your specific type of skin, whether it’s dry, oily or normal. Using your selected product, cleanse your face in a gentle circular motion and rinse with lukewarm water, as hot water drains the skin’s moisture.

The next step is to exfoliate. A granular exfoliant product is often especially effective in smoothly rough areas and rubbing away dead skin cells, allowing the face to be better moisturized.

After exfoliating, use a toner or astringent to tighten skin and remove any make-up or cleanser residue. An alternative to toner or astringent would be a facial masque at least once a week, which tackles clogged pores while also firming skin and leaving it soft and silky.

The final step is to apply a moisturizer that will protect against dry skin. People with oily skin don’t have to moisturize as often as those who have dry, normal or combination skin.

You could spend hundreds of dollars on skin care products and only achieve clear, healthy skin for a short period of time. A daily skin care routine, along with a healthy diet, drinking lots of water, exercising and protecting your skin from sun damage, will help you achieve healthy skin for a lifetime.

South Beach Diet Exercises- Does it Work?

It has been well documented that the problem of obesity in the United States is on the rise. There are different reasons for this and most people and the media blame it on unhealthy food choices like fast food products and processed food. A lot of those who are fat, overweight and obese is due to bad choices in life or led an unhealthy lifestyle. Today, the demand for products such as weight loss pills is on the rise. But it was found that these supplements aren’t effective and we now know that the best way to lose weight is to exercise properly and eat right. This resulted in weight loss plans to become very popular; one such weight loss plan is the South Beach Diet Exercise.

The South Beach Diet Exercise is currently one of the most popular diet plans available today. If you haven’t heard of this its either you were living under a rock or you simply didn’t want to hear it. What make the South Beach Diet Exercise so popular are its immediate results. Yes you do lose weight and this is by eating only the known good fats and eating lesser carbohydrate. This means that the dieter will have to avoid eating corn, carrots, bread, rice, pasta and the like. Eating less carbohydrate is the key to the success of the South Beach Diet Exercise. But, most of the time things are too good to be true. This is exactly the case with this method.

Most if not all of us know about the South Beach Diet Exercise and how it is effective in weight loss. But there are things that they do not advertise, and of course this is the bad effects or disadvantages of this diet plan. One such disadvantage is the loss of protein. When the body does not have enough carbohydrates to convert into glucose, it turns to protein. When it converts protein instead, you will lose muscle. Protein is important in the body’s maintenance, and part of this is the building of muscle tissues. Another disadvantage is that the South Beach Diet Exercise will burn a lot of excess fat, but burning them too fast will result in a higher level of acidity in the blood stream.

We all know that right diet and exercise is the key to being healthy, and that is what weight loss should be about. It is not enough just to burn fat in the fastest way possible; you should become a healthier person and live longer. This is what the Fat Loss 4 Idiots guide suggests. This weight lose plan does not rely on anything else but on a proper balance of everything. Having the proper balance of all the food groups would mean that the body gets everything it needs in order to function properly and efficiently. Take away one of these like in the South Beach Diet Exercise then you take away a part of what makes our body tick. The Fat Loss 4 Idiots is a weight lose plan which will make the dieter healthier in more ways than one.

Beauty Treatments (part 2)

Let us continue to look at some of the available beauty treatments in more detail.

Make up Sessions

A make-up session can simply be a bit of fun or it can be educational too as clients can learn new methods of applying cosmetics and also identify colours which flatter their skin tone. There will be an initial consultation where the beauty therapist will learn from the client whether they wish to learn how to apply make-up or cover scars and blemishes, if they are attending a special occasion such as a wedding or are simply feeling the need for a little pampering. Usually, the session will include cleansing, toning and moisturizing of the skin before cosmetics are applied to the face.

Hair removal

Epilation refers to the removal of the entire hair (above and below the skin) from the face or body and can be temporary or permanent depending on the techniques used by the beauty therapist.

Temporary methods offered by beauty therapists, which generally need to be repeated every four to eight weeks, include:

Waxing – hot wax is useful for removing strong hair growth, for example, in the underarm or bikini area and results can last up to six weeks.

Sugaring – a sugar paste is applied to the skin and as it is at a very low temperature, it is thought to be gentler on the skin.

Permanent hair removal techniques, where a course of treatments is usually required include:

Electrolysis or short-wave diathermy – an electrical current cauterizes the hair follicle and then each hair is removed using tweezers.

Laser – this is the newest technique for hair removal and is more effective on coarse, dark hair than lighter hair because intense pulsed light interacts with the pigment in the hair. Medical supervision is required and so it tends to be offered in more specialized establishments.

Massage

Each massage therapy has its own specific benefits. However, generally speaking massage helps to improve circulation and relax muscles. Techniques offered by beauty therapists include Swedish massage, aromatherapy massage, Thai, Shiatsu and Indian Head massages.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy refers to the application of water as a form of treatment and there are different types of hydrotherapy treatment available, which are usually offered at a spa. Hydrotherapy baths use powerful jets of water to massage, tone and stimulate the muscles and they may be used in combination with seaweeds, mineral salts or mud treatments. Other treatment options include thalassotherapy pools and plunge pools.

If you choose just one or even all of the beauty treatments discussed in these articles, hopefully you will have a relaxing and enjoyable experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to face the world again.
